Sensei Massoud Aghassi

On Sunday 27th February 2022, SKE held a memorial Course for the late Sensei Massoud Aghassi. Sensei Massoud was a well loved and popular instructor who assisted with teaching duties for many years in the Wanstead, Enfield, Edmonton and Bush Hill Park Karate Clubs. He went on to open his own East Barnet Club and then the Copthall Club, and both of these clubs became successful and enthusiastic clubs.

Copthall Karate Club provided a Karate Display with 12 SKE senior instructors teaching on the course. The whole event was organised by Sensei Massoud’s daughter Sarah, who now successfully runs the East Barnet and Copthall Karate Clubs. Sensei Sarah was presented with the posthumous 4th Dan Certificate in recognition of her Father’s great contribution to SKE and Karate, and the efforts he made towards his own Dan Gradings.

The memorial Course took place at the Copthall Karate Club and was followed by a buffet and social event. The expected large attendance enjoyed a great and memorable day of Karate. Some videos of the day are on our YouTube channel
